Snap Judgment

Snap Judgment is a themed, weekly NPR storytelling show. We focus on presenting compelling personal stories – mixing killer beats with real drama to produce cinematic, dramatic and kick-ass radio. We are sponsored by the Corporation for Public Broadcasting and distributed through NPR and Public Radio Exchange (PRX).

John Robbins’ The Book Bird

As a child, I adored this show. John Robbins illustrates a scene from a story, while the voice over reads an excerpt from the book. I found so many great books this way, and found watching his drawings absolutely mesmerizing. I am so glad I finally found a video of one of his shows. This is what children’s programing should be, not shrill neon puppets screaming and selling cheap plastic toys made in China by other children.
