Es war einmal…/Once upon a time… March 24, 2016

Triumph and empty bank accounts!  Trials and döner kebaps!  Good times have been, are being, and will be had!  I am not sure how much will be written here, but i do want to post pictures and maybe some video footage of this adventure in Berlin.  This has been a worthy one so far, and by the end will be the longest vacation-type trip i’ll have ever taken.  It certainly won’t be the last either…

My traveling companion Scarlett and i met in a Norse & Irish Mythology class at Whatcom Community College in the Fall of 2013.  We talked each other into this adventure over the course of the last year and it is endlessly satisfying to be here now.  Scarlett is a dear friend and the reason i am flying under the Unicornbacon.com domain name.

[Speaking of which, I highly suggest visiting her blog too, as hers is much more historically accurate/informed/academically detailed, PLUS there are videos of us trying strange German snack foods.  Oh, and she knows how to blog properly; it is a nicely arranged site from what my inexperienced eye can gather.]

The hope is that for lack of post cards, this webpage will be a way to apprise folk at home and elsewhere of the goings-on here in Germany.  I can easily spend hours on a single email so if i consolidate my efforts into a public electronic journal then more expression may be accomplished in shorter time.  It has been about 2 weeks since we arrived here so there’s some catching up to do and dozens of photographs to share…  Dang, there’s some cool stuff here!  On with it, then!

The night before departure

The night before departure at the Lummi Island ferry dock.  I met up with my traveling companion across yonder waters.

It's just a ferry dock but everything seems so final and irreversible at such moments.

It’s just a ferry dock but everything seemed final and irreversible at this moment.  Moved out of my house and packed bags the same night.  Many kinds of goodbye, only some of them temporary.

yup, them's trees alright

Last sunrise i’ll see in the PNW for 3 months.

Windowshine from the terminal, t-minus 30 minutes before leaving North America.

Windowshine from the Vancouver terminal, t-minus 30 minutes before leaving North America.  12 hours of flying to go..!

G’bye, ‘merica.

Definitely believe that which you stated. Your favourite reason appeared to be
at the internet the simplest factor to consider of.
I say to you, I certainly get annoyed even as other folks consider worries
that they just do not realize about. You managed to hit the nail upon the top as neatly as outlined out the whole thing with
no need side effect , other people can take a signal.

Will probably be again to get more. Thank you

I always take a signal if no side effect. It has been a fun time, less on the internet living and getting to be a human being with real worries and real adventures! MY MAPS ARE ON REAL PAPER! YOU ARE NOT A REAL PERSON! Bye-bye!

Cuz i remember that place– there were people who were registered there, and they had marks too. Some people even made commission. I don’t believe you are familiar with the nature of my work, Mr. Fiedler. But i like how completely nonsensical and salty your spam is, so you may stay. I wasn’t ‘plaanning on getting rid of a trree’ to build on my house’ but i may…not know how to respond to you… Your sentence does not make sense! I suggest you put some just policies in unique locations! Fruit-giving houses approve of Baltimore!?

Write more, thats all I have to say. Literally, it seems as though you relied on the
video to make your point. You obviously know what youre
talking about, why waste your intelligence on just
posting videos to your blog when you could be giving
    us something informative to read?

    • elio says:

Thank you. Wait, there is no video! You are not a real Chloe you are imaginary internet creation! What is happening to my virtual world??

…After deleting so many spammy messages, now i am thinking it would be more fun to keep them all, say things to the bots, tots, and trolls that show up on Trash Panda’s lawn.

I wish you the best with that… It is hard to be determined and not interested, or vice versa. It is good that you have both! You can only do as much as can ‘what ever before it take.’
